CULTURE | Essence Magazine Block Party
Hey Creatives!
I hope you all are faring well!
Yesterday, I attended the 2nd Essence Magazine Street Style Block Party at The Dumbo Archway, under the Manhattan Bridge. In true block party style, the day began at noon with live music, vendors, art, food and street style. This event celebrates and highlights individual, unique and snazzy style. A perfect way to end the summer, was indicative of embracing one's own personal style and create creativity.
Some attendees included: Gabrielle Union, Mel B, Andra Day, Ron Bass, Chris Classic and much more
The fashion spoke for itself, everyone and their mama showed out (literally). The vibrance and thought out pieces were indefinitely one-of-a-kind. Let's talk hair. Carol's Daughter was present to teach people how to style their tresses and providing free makeovers and makeup. The event flourished with bold and innovative hairstyles. The kinks and curls were without a doubt popping!
Dj Olivia Dope and Tiff McFierce had the crowd ROCKIN', from current hip hop, soca, dancehall, afrobeats and everything in between.
I love attending stylish and entertaining events and the Essence block party did not disappoint, besides the rain :( Dumbo was the epicenter for fabulous fashion, great food, good music and greater vibes. Such a great way to end the summer!
Stay Creative,
