2017: The Year Of The GLOW

Hey Creatives, Happy New Year!!!

YAY! We made it! What a blessing and an honor! I hope the new year is bring you bliss, abundance and loads of achieved goals. 

Does it bug anyone else when people say "Happy New Years?" #petpeeve

2016 was undeniably rough and tiresome, there were some great moments in the midst of chaos. But with God's grace and favor I stand here on January 1, 2017 at peace and not in pieces -- and so did you. 
That doesn’t mean we don’t have scars from the battle that was 2016. As a collective, we lost a lot - even to the last minute. From everyday citizens to prominent members in the community, celebs and etc. We lost Prince. That, alone, was too much. On top of that, anti-Black violence seemed relentless. The massacre in Orlando of LGBTQI Black and Brown people and the growing number of murdered Black trans women made it clear that spaces of safety and joy were becoming harder to find. And then white folk went and elected Donald "Orange Soda Can" Trump as the next President of the United States. What else can you even say? And outside of our collective losses, some of us took personal hits too. Loved ones passed on. Relationships ended. Friendships dissolved. Jobs were lost. Money became tighter. Sicknesses were present. Many of us watched others spend these last 366 days in total bliss while we were being hit hard. We prayed for 2016 to end. For some, it left right on time. For others, 2016 took its sweet time and wreaked too much havoc along the way.

With all that being said, we are in 2017!!! I proclaim 2017to be The Year of The GLOW. Not just a physical glow, but spiritual, financial, mental and other areas of your life that is in need of a glow. This is time where we've all set goals and resolutions. Saying and setting goals is so easy, but accomplishing them is where the challenge arises. My major overall goal for this year is to be consistent in EVERYTHING that I endeavor in. Most especially with Creating Creativity. I am challenging myself in loads of areas in my life to be better, for me. Care to join? I challenge you to challenge yourself to be better, to glow in any way shape and form. 

I pray this new year brings you bliss, abundance, prosperity, money ;) and an effervescent GLOW!
