Today's post entails one of my favs - ART! A friend (Hey Akeira!) and I were strolling through the streets of Chelsea, NYC in search of good food and modern art in cool galleries. After walking the High Line (first-timer!) we ended up on 14th St. and found a pop-up exhibit "Life is Beautiful" which featured the artist Mr. Brain Wash or MBW.
Mr. Brainwash, the moniker of Theiry Guetta, a Paris-born, LA based film maker and street artist. The exhibit features unique, bold patterns and brightly colored pieces of art; with an interesting positive balance of pop culture. MBW's pieces are indeed fun and relatable, interest-piquing and unique conversation starters. His exhibit features Hip Pop/Pop artist Nicki Minaj, former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, the cast of Seinfeld, reggae artist Bob Marley and many others.
I implore EVERYONE in NYC to see the exhibit.
